Karen is our fourth personal trainer and by far the best. My wife and I have enjoyed two sessions a week and under her guidance we have actually managed to stem the ageing process and are now “growing younger”. We no longer consider buying a “Stanner” stair lift, electric adjustable bed or one of those chairs where at the touch of a button you are catapulted to the standing position. All of these tasks we can now accomplish without a second thought.

Karen has been my Personal Trainer for upwards of twelve years.  Prior to working with her I watched Karen train other clients for over six months, comparing her approach with that of other personal trainers at the gym.  I decided to engage Karen because of her wide range of technical skills and sensitive approach to core stability and the spine in particular; little did I realise how much I would come to need Karen’s skills to aid my preparation and recovery from two major spinal tumour operations, the first in 2011 and again at the end of 2012. Two years ago, after suffering from chronic back and neck pain, I started to train with Karen once a week. I am fitter and stronger than I have been for a long time, and even managed to finish Race for Life this year not too far behind my 15 year old daughter! It has been a great investment.

After training alone for 10 years, I didn’t think that I needed a Personal Trainer. However, once I started training with Jon, I realised how boring and repetitive my old regime had been. His exercises are very creative, both with and without equipment, and most can be practiced easily on my own. Jon has helped me to push myself a lot further than I would have done alone, but in a safe, non-gladiatorial way, and no two sessions are ever the same! I now feel fitter, more alive, and much more able to deal with the stresses and strains of everyday life. I’ve also noticed that I no longer pick up niggling sports injuries like I used to.
Last year (2011) he devised a special programme to get me in the best shape for my wedding. The look on my husband’s face as I came down the aisle, and the fact that long after the event he still raves about how I looked, confirms to me that every penny and moment spent with Jon was very well spent!

Jon has been my Personal Trainer for 10 years. As I got older (hit 40) I realised I needed to focus on my fitness levels and conditioning if I was to be able to continue to enjoy life to the same degree and keep up with my wife! I have always enjoyed my food and drink and managed to maintain a reasonable level of fitness through competitive sport. Having never been a gym person for the sake of it I was not looking forward to being lectured on what to do. However, I can honestly say right from the first session I completely enjoyed Jon’s methods and time spent with him. No two sessions are ever the same and the variety makes for enjoyment also the results have been satisfying. I have Jon twice a week at 0630 hours. I had personal training with Jon for my London Marathon Charity Race in 2012, I wanted to achieve a time of around 3hrs 30min.
I started training with Jon 12 months before the race, his sessions were fun but at the same time tough. The programme was specific and progressive through training so that my goal could be achieved. He was extremely motivating and helped with nutrition, warm-ups, cool-downs and sports massage (which really helped with those sore muscles).
The whole programme was very professional and he made me feel like I wanted to stick to it. I would recommend Jon to anyone wanting to reach any physical goal whether it being high or low. Without his help I would not have reached my target of 3 hours 30 minutes for my first ever marathon!

“Unfit, overweight, too busy to do anything about it …” sound vaguely familiar? Those were my thoughts and sentiments! Absolute rubbish, it’s all a state of mind …

After consciously deciding it was about time “I did something about it” my wife booked a couple of trial one-to-one sessions with Jon to get me ‘on the way’! To say I was ‘unsure’ about this bold new leap of faith was, well let’s just say a huge underestimation.

A couple of years on and I am hooked, I enjoy twice weekly training sessions, seeing a definite improvement in strength, fitness and waist size! Jon is both motivating and knowledgeable in the gym environment. He offers up advice on diet, nutrition and lifestyle, all very useful when aiming for personal goals.  Jon was instrumental in my training to compete in two triathlons, something I never even considered or contemplated prior to embarking on my ‘keep fit campaign’.

I whole heartedly recommend Jon to help you in whatever quest you have, weight loss, improved fitness, even sports massage (required on the odd occasion in advancing years!). I have found the benefits wide and varied, improved health, elevated state of mind and of course weight reduction.
